To look your absolute best in your wedding photos and to ensure your hair style survives the whole day, I will come to your home, or location of your choice, so you and your bridal party can relax and enjoy getting pampered before your long and busy day begins. What Hair Style is best for your Wedding Day?

Most brides prefer an updo of some sort, however, the best way to decide on your wedding day hair style is to have a consultation, or better yet, a Hair Trial. I offer free consultations where you have a chance to meet me, discuss your ideas and receive professional advice. I highly recommend a Hair Trial which includes a full run-through of your hair style, allowing you to see exactly what it will look like; not just a rough idea; no need to visualize and imagine the final look. I carry a wide selection of current hair-style magazines and photos for ideas and together we can choose a style that will suit your hair, accentuate your features, compliment your dress and overall wedding look.

The key elements of your wedding day hair style are to suit your hair, your face, your personality and the style of your wedding. It should last all day without being uncomfortable and it should make you feel special and beautiful.
Generally, having all of your hair up is considered the most formal, all of your hair down the least formal and half up, half down somewhere inbetween. "Romantic", "sexy", "whimsical" hair is usually more on the "messy" side and clean, polished, smooth styles are more "sophisticated", "classy" and "traditional".

How long will each Bridal Hair Style take?

I will do my very best to accommodate your schedule, bringing assistants with me whenever necessary, at no extra cost to you.
Bridal hair styling will take approximately 40 - 60 minutes depending on the complexity of the hair style. Hair styling for all others will take approximately 35 - 55 minutes each, also depending on the desired style. Attaching the headpiece (tiara, veil, bun-holder, etc), or decorative pins, flowers or other ornaments, will require some extra time on the wedding day.

When should you book Iris Cosmetics for your Wedding?

It is best to book my bridal hair services 4-6 months before your wedding. A Trial can be done anytime, but to avoid disappointment, it is recommended to book as early as possible.
